What you can learn from a child

A few minutes’ observation of a child’s activities would tell you five simple things that no management school will even teach you in any business leadership development or ethics class.

1. A child always does what he loves…
Seldom would you ever find a child doing things that he does not love. And this is the most important principle of leadership. A child can spend hours and hours doing the same things without a single mark of fatigue.

2. A child is always ready to ask questions.
He would not concern himself by the showing the fact that he don’t know something.
Accept simply that, you don’t know everything in life. When in doubt ask. Don’t assume! Develop a child like ability to question.

| "A child can ask questions that a wise man cannot answer."

3. A child would see things without biases
The word “Inequality” is almost absent in the dictionary of a child. He would not consider race, religion, status etc before dealing with anybody.

4. Readiness to learn
A child would learn whatever he could.

5. Use of basic expressions of emotions
A child would use basic expressions of emotions. He would not concern himself for the want some pompous expressions for the sake of false glory.
